Grindleton C.E. Primary School win CATALYST (Primary) 2019
Congratulations to the team of six Year 6 pupils from Grindleton C.E. Primary School, winners of the CATALYST (Primary) 2019 Final held at The Grand, Clitheroe on Thursday 21st March 2019.
CATALYST (Primary) is an exciting Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths (STEM) enrichment Competition that brings together Year 6 pupils from Primary Schools in, and around, Clitheroe.
The Competition is organised, generously funded and delivered by Johnson Matthey Catalysts, Clitheroe, with support from a team of their enthusiastic STEM Ambassadors.
During a fun day of competition making towers, bridges, shelters and boats, the team from Grindleton C.E. Primary School (pictured on the home page) competed successfully against excellent teams from seven other Clitheroe Primary Schools after they had all successfully battled their way through the Competition heats to reach the Final.
Grindleton C.E Primary School received, and get to keep, the unique trophy (pictured top centre) which was manufactured on site at Johnson Matthey. The school will also receive a cash prize to be spent on something STEM-related in school.
